Island Essence Experiences was created by Gidne and his wife, Ta’kevia. Gidne, also known as “spiceKitchenBoss,” found his love for cooking at a young age in a small settlement  called Savannah Sound. Having grown up in a big family, he spent a lot of time in the kitchen, perfecting his culinary skills. From the start, his culinary adventure took off as he became the go-to chef for family, friends, and later professionally  for homeowners , thanks to his exceptional flavors that left everyone craving for more.
Ta’kevia, who was originally from the city, made the exciting decision to move to the island in 2017. She quickly developed a deep affection for the island life and never once regretted her decision. They embarked on a joint venture and opened a bistro in Palmetto Point in  2020, delighting an increasing number of guests who quickly became enamored with Gidne’s outstanding food and service. Gidne quickly became the person everyone turned to when they wanted to create truly unforgettable experiences. His talent for crafting memorable events was unmatched.
